How To Join

 

To receive an application for the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City program, call the MU Extension office at 816-252-5051 to get your name on the list. We mail applications in mid-May and interviews are conducted in June. The interview is an opportunity for the Master Gardeners to learn about you, what your gardening experience is, and why you want to become a Master Gardener. In turn, the Master Gardeners will share our mission, the requirements to be a Master Gardener, and the core projects in the program. The program costs $175, plus a $10 application fee. The fee covers the expenses associated with training.
