Volunteer Requirements

 

After the 45 hours of in-class training is complete, there is a requirement of 45 volunteer hours or more the first year. After the 45 volunteer hours is complete, the intern is deemed a Master Gardener and earns their Master Gardener badge. You cannot refer to yourself as a Master Gardener until you have received your Master Gardener badge. During the remaining years, Master Gardeners are required to provide a minimum of 25 hours of volunteer service and 6 hours of continuing education.
