Gamber Community Center

4 SE Independence Avenue, Lee’s Summit, MO

Compacted soil and bad drainage characterized this garden site in 2010.  Working with the City of Lee’s Summit, Extension Master Gardeners completely re-planned the garden following resolution of the drainage issues and the addition of 95 tons of amended soil.  Extension Master Gardeners selected plants of 30 different species, chosen to provide color from March to frost.  Plant selections al-so assure structural beauty through the winter to keep the garden interesting from frost to March.
