Plant Sale

TENT at Independence Center
East 39th St S, Independence, MO
May 3rd 2-7:30 pm,  May 4th 8am – until Sold Out

The Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City began the Annual Plant Sale in 2010 and it has “grown” every year. If you have attended one of the sales in the past, you know that we have built a solid reputation for offering great plants at reasonable prices. If you have not attended in the past, you will want to make it a point to come this year. In either case, come early for best selection as quantities are limited.

The proceeds from the annual plant sale are used to fund MGGKC projects and Community/Partnership Gardens throughout the year.   In these gardens, members of MGGKC work with members of the community to teach them better gardening methods and to produce food products which are donated to people within the community. The goal is to provide education and assistance in an effort to help each of the communities and their residents to become more self-sufficient.

To assist you, we will have available thousands of annuals and perennials for your shopping pleasure. We will also have Master Gardeners on site to help you with your plant selections. The plants we are offering have been selected for this part of Missouri and have been grown by Master Gardener’s right here in the Kansas City area. You can be assured these plants will do well here in Kansas City.  The perennials you will select are have been grown by local MGGKC members in their own yards. These plants have been dug up and divided from their own prized specimens.

We need your help!  Do you have plants in your yard that are taking over? If you have plants that need to be divided then
please consider donating them to the KC Master Gardeners Plant Sale. The proceeds from the annual
plant sale are used to fund Master Gardener projects and Community/Partnership Gardens like the
Ivanhoe Demonstration Garden and Garden ‘N Grow program, throughout the year.
