Dividing Perennials-Presenter 2

This presentation will cover the clues plants give to know that it is time to divide perennials.  More garden plants are the goal.  The best times and conditions for divisions will be covered.


Additional Information

This class will teach you how to divide perennials based on the plant’s root system such as spreading, clumping, rhizomes, tubers, taproots, and underground runners. Ideal conditions and weather for division will be taught.  A list of plants best not to be divided will be shared.

Restrictions:
This is 30–45-minute program.

Michele Livergood

Michele Livergood became a Master Gardener in 2019. Her volunteer efforts include Speakers Bureau, Master Gardener Hotline, Swope Park Community Center Demo Garden, John Wornall House, and others.

Michele enjoys working in her yard, which is still a work in progress. She is also a member of the Idalia Society, a KC area butterfly group. She loves native plant sales. She also enjoys sharing plants and gardening knowledge with friends and neighbors.
