Dividing Perennials-Presenter 1

This presentation will cover the clues plants give to know that it is time to divide perennials.  More garden plants is the goal.  The best times and conditions for divisions will be covered.


Additional Information

This class will teach you how to divide perennials based on the plant’s root system such as spreading, clumping, rhizomes, tubers, taproots and underground runners. Ideal conditions and weather for division will be taught.  A list of plants best not to be divided will be shared.

Restrictions:
This is 30-45 minute program.

Chris Veach

Chris Veach has been an Extension Master Gardener (EMG) for 19 years.  She is a nature lover with many passions including the planting and proper care of trees, destructive tree pests, beneficial insects, protecting pollinators, strip composting/lasagna gardening, butterflies and birds.  She loves sharing her knowledge with the community in the Speakers Bureau and answering questions on the EMG Hotline.
