Pesky Pests – Ants to Whitefly

Identification and treatment of common garden pests are presented.  This program is customizable for your group with advance notice.

Ants, Bean Leaf Beetle, Budworm, Cabbage Worms, Emerald Ash Borer, Flea Beetle, Iris Borer, Japanese Beetles, Lace bug, Oak Itch Mites, Scale, Spider Mites, Snails/Slugs, Squash Bugs, Squash Vine Borer, Stink Bugs and Whitefly are discussed.  The least toxic methods of control of these common garden pests are shared.  Specific garden pests can be added or removed from the presentation with a 2-week notice.

Chris Veach

Chris Veach has been an Extension Master Gardener (EMG) since 2001.  She is a nature lover with many passions including the planting and proper care of trees, destructive tree pests, beneficial insects, protecting pollinators, strip composting/lasagna gardening, butterflies and birds.  She loves sharing her knowledge with the community in the Speakers Bureau and answering questions on the EMG Hotline.
